Proclinical is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech CAPEX projects in Switzerland. The role requires GMP, GAMP, and data integrity compliance, with collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver robust automation.

The ideal candidate has a degree in automation/electrical/computer science and hands-on DeltaV experience in pharma settings, including CSV documentation and validation activities.

Qualificações

• Experience with Emerson DeltaV automation systems in pharma/biotech environments.
• Familiarity with GMP, GAMP and CSV/documentation practices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and implement DeltaV automation solutions for pharma/biotech CAPEX projects.
• Configure DeltaV modules, graphics, recipes, alarms, interfaces per standards.
• Prepare and maintain validation records and GxP documentation.
• Ensure GMP, GAMP and data integrity compliance across activities.
• Support system architecture, hardware config, networking and third-party interfaces.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and communication issues during projects and operations.
• Collaborate with process engineering, IT-OT, validation and operations teams.
• Provide technical support during startup, handover and operations.

Proclinical is seeking an Automation Engineer to support pharmaceutical and biotech CAPEX projects in Switzerland. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Emerson DeltaV systems while ensuring compliance with GMP, GAMP, and data integrity standards. This is a site-based position requiring collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech projects.
• Configure DeltaV control modules, equipment modules, phases, recipes, graphics, alarms, and system interfaces following company standards.
• Develop and maintain automation documentation, including functional specifications, design specifications, test protocols, and validation records.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP, and data integrity requirements in all activities.
• Support system architecture design, hardware configuration, network integration, and interface development with third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot automation hardware, software, and communication issues during project execution and operational support.
• Participate in change control processes, deviation investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with process engineering, IT-OT, validation, and operations teams to deliver fit-for-purpose automation solutions.
• Provide technical support during startup, handover, and operational phases of the project lifecycle.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV automation systems in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and automation architectures.
• Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments and validation activities.
• Knowledge of CAPEX project execution and commissioning processes is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Emerson DeltaV configuration and system administration.
• Experience with GxP documentation and computerized system validation (CSV).
• Skills in process control design, system integration, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of GMP, GAMP, and data integrity requirements.
• Fluency in German and/or English is required.
