Associate Scientist Technical Development

For our client, an international pharmaceutical company, we are currently looking for an Associate Scientist - Technical Development.

Location: Basel

Contract: 18.08.2025 - 17.02.2026

You will work in a chemical and pharmaceutical profiling group, which focuses on technical compound profiling at the interface of drug discovery and early phases of drug development.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently plan, execute, and interpret experiments in compound characterization and formulation development
  • Conduct analytical investigations (drug substance/product physicochemical characterization: DSC, TGA, XRPD, DVS)
  • Perform formulation activities (solution/suspension formulation screening, characterization, scale-up, and supply)
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and infrastructure
  • Utilize relevant laboratory tools and procedures (HPLC, DSC, XRPD, etc.)
  • Develop and apply HPLC analytical methods for stability measurements

Requirements:

  • Proven track record with the above mentioned responsibilities
  • Work experience in this field or related disciplines preferred
  • BSc./MSc in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related disciplines beneficial
  • Strong collaboration, self-motivation, and team orientation
  • Fluent English required; German or French beneficial
