Headquartered in Duillier near Nyon, Synova is the pioneer of a revolutionary hybrid laser processing technology — Laser MicroJet. Synova provides state-of-the-art high precision material processing solutions in various high tech industries such as the semiconductor, diamond, watch industry, automotive, energy and currently also in the space and aviation industry.

To support Synova’s activities, we are looking for an

In this position you will:

• Process customer samples to demonstrate our Laser MicroJet machine capabilities and provide adequate reports to obtain buy-in;
• Manage projects with our customers to optimize their process in terms of speed, yield, machining quality and precision;
• Lead application tests for machine acceptance, conduct hands-on customers training and act as 3rd level expert support at the customer site.
• Work closely with sales to offer competitive process and equipment solutions;
• Interact with R&D engineers to further improve and develop the process;
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of laser micromachining principles and its applications;

For this position, we are looking for candidates with the following profile:

• MS in Mechanics, Micromechanics, Material Science or equivalent;
• Experience with CAD/CAM, CNC, G code and 5 axis machining needed, laser processing a plus;
• Proven analytical skills and technical judgment;
• Dynamic and result-driven attitude;
• Capacity to work independently, to adapt and develop new skills;
• Flexible and ready to travel at average rate of 20% to 30%;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, French a strong plus;
• Swiss or valid work permit.
