Purpose of the Job

The Finance Delivery Team is responsible for the successful delivery of strategic projects to enhance and expand the use of Finance Applications. In addition, we manage a ‘Business as Usual’ stream of work that supports our users with production issues and delivers regular releases for incremental change. There are multiple teams who work on different projects in parallel.

The Role

  • Manage overall culture and motivation of the Application team.
  • Contribute to the Organisations’ Transformation Roadmap for the application, including any necessary consolidations, recommendations, decommissioning or migrations.
  • Work with PMO to understand new business requirements and enable the team to provide inputs on technical dependencies, prioritisations, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with IT and Business Stakeholders, other Application Owners, and IT PMs to ensure that delivery plan and dependencies are visible and aligned.
  • Assist the Software Delivery Manager with capacity planning across the Application team.
  • Support post go live issues; management and escalations (via support team).
  • Manage and maintain all quality and performance practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics across the Application team.
  • Ensure both application specific and business SLA targets are met.
  • Be the final accountable for after-hours/on-call rotation for escalation of application issues.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on the Application Roadmap, providing insights to future enhancements/deprecations where applicable.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of Team members (internal & external).
  • Provide Senior Management status reports, routine reports and management updates as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the definition and delivery of the Application roadmap, ensuring that the roadmap is in alignment with the wider Organisational Transformation Roadmap.
  • Responsible for application-specific roadmap and workload prioritization.
  • Accountable for the Team delivery of approved and prioritized workloads.
  • Accountable for the management & resolution of Production P1 Issues.
  • Responsible for the successful transition to BAU Support and Operational Teams.
  • Escalation point for level 2 (or higher) Support SLA breaches or Application support backlog.
  • Escalation point for P1 issues.
