Zusammenfassung

Hitachi Energy in Switzerland seeks an Application Engineer for charging infrastructure solutions. You will shape technical concepts from customer engagement through tendering and support refinement during project execution.

Responsibilities include developing system architectures, coordinating with internal specialists, and presenting technical proposals. Fluent English is required; travel may be involved.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on power systems.
• 5 years of experience in application and power systems engineering including DC power supply systems and power electronics (Thyristors, IGBTs).
• Sound understanding of AC/DC distribution, power conversion, transformers and switchgear, protection and control, power quality.
• Experience converting customer requirements into system architectures and compliant offers.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.

Aufgaben

• Engage with customers early to understand needs, site constraints, grid-connection requirements, and expansion plans.
• Develop high-level technical solution concepts for charging infrastructure systems.
• Translate requirements into optimized, feasible Hitachi Energy solutions and evaluate risks and opportunities.
• Support Sales Capture and tender teams with technical inputs and hand over concepts for verification.
• Coordinate with internal specialists on power-system studies, grid connection, energy management, and installation concepts.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, diagrams, design criteria, and customer materials.
• Assist project teams post-award to preserve design intent and maximize opportunities for optimization.
• Support Product Management with market insights to improve offerings and guidelines.
• Contribute to technical workshops, events, and cross-country knowledge sharing.
