- Provide calibration, troubleshooting and repair of analytical instruments.
- Provide calibration, troubleshooting and repair of development instruments used in upstream process development, downstream process development, and analytical development laboratories.
- Perform and/or coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance on HPLC's, UPLCs, capillary electrophoresis instruments, bioreactors, purification instruments (AKTAs) and other sophisticated analytical instruments as needed.
- Interact with scientists, engineers and production staff, and function as technical subject matter expert for sophisticated analytical instrumentation.
- Respond to trouble calls and perform diagnostics and repairs.
- Write calibration and equipment service reports; write calibration and preventive maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.
- Collect and organize technical data from equipment manufacturers, equipment users, and engineering personnel.
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a B.S. degree in Science, or an Electronics Engineering 2-year curriculum at a technical school, or an AA/AS Degree in a related science or engineering major including substantial relevant on-the-job training.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in analytical or process control instrumentation or closely related job with a proven performance record.
- Must know the operating principles and be proficient with the operational techniques of laboratory analytical instruments.
- General knowledge of cGMP and GLP practices.
- Possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work different shifts with no direct supervision.
- Fluent in French and English
