Job summary

Clear Solutions Laboratories AG in Basel is seeking a Scientist to perform independent laboratory analyses, drive routine testing workflows, and support data delivery for biologics projects. You will plan, prepare, and execute HPLC and plate-based assays, document results, and maintain LC instruments.

A BSc/MSc in analytical sciences and 2+ years of hands-on experience are required, with polysorbate analysis familiarity seen as a plus.

About Clear Solutions Laboratories

Clear Solutions Laboratories is a rapidly growing analytical service provider supporting pharmaceutical and biotech companies in ensuring product quality and compliance. We specialize in particle and contamination control, visual inspection, and advanced analytical services.

To support the expansion of our surfactant characterization services, we are looking for a Scientist to perform independent laboratory analyses, drive routine testing workflows, and support data delivery for our biologics projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and perform routine and non-routine analytical testing, including HPLC/LC runs and microplate-based assays (e.g., fluorescent/absorbance).

• Process analytical data, document experimental results accurately according to standard protocols, and draft technical summaries or reports.

• Perform routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting for assigned LC instruments and lab equipment to maintain high laboratory operational standards.

• Support internal innovation initiatives, method optimization projects, and contribute data toward technical publications or client presentations as the role evolves.

Your Profile

• BSc/MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field - or equivalent vocational training (e.g., CTA, Lab Technician certification)

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in analytical testing (HPLC, plate assays) within an industrial or academic laboratory setting.

• Familiarity with polysorbate analysis (PS20/PS80) in biologics or protein formulation analytics is a plus.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the motivation to grow into project coordination, technical reporting, and eventual client communication.
