AST Turbo seeks an AMT Engineer (100%) to join the global AMT Team, delivering advanced metrology and precision measurement solutions. Based in Altendorf SZ and Dottikon, you’ll own field projects, support overhauls, and travel to client sites worldwide.

You’ll engage with customers and field teams, preparing reports and driving continuous improvement while expanding metrology services within the Swiss organization.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent training.
• Hands-on field service experience with rotating equipment.
• Ability to read technical documents and write structured reports.
• Experience leading small teams and coordinating field projects.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work at demanding remote sites.

Be the innovator in the global energy sector

As an AMT (Advanced Measurement Technology) Engineer, you're part of the global AMT Team, delivering advanced metrology, laser tracking, scanning and precision measurement solutions for critical rotating equipment worldwide. You take technical ownership of field projects and work closely with customers, field teams and our Swiss engineering organization to support overhauls, troubleshooting and field service activities. Based in Altendorf SZ and Dottikon, this role offers the opportunity to help develop and expand our metrology services within the Swiss organization while supporting projects globally. We are looking for a proactive engineer who enjoys technical challenges, problem solving, customer interaction, and hands-on field work. Significant international travel to customer sites is expected during the initial phase.

What you do

• Perform laser tracking and precision measurement (AMT at global customer sites
• Take technical ownership of field projects - including planning, coordination, execution and customer communication
• Prepare accurate technical reports, measurement documentation and project records
• Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization and knowledge transfer within AMT

What makes you the ideal fit

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical training, with hands-on experience
• Strong background in reading technical documentation and writing structured reports (mechanical drawings and P&ID)
• Field service experience in rotating equipment of the energy sector
• Background in technical project execution
• Ability to lead small teams, technical discussions and training sessions
• Flexible for international travel and demanding/remote site work
• High flexibility and excellent physical fitness are musts
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  
• Good Visual-spatial imagination and proficiency with CAD software
  
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple priorities
