We are seeking a proactive Aircraft Maintenance Planner to spearhead crucial support for our clientele. This pivotal role entails providing seamless 24/7 service coverage, addressing aircraft-on-ground (AOG) requests and efficiently deploying necessary resources to expedite aircraft recovery. Through consistent and targeted customer engagement, you will fortify client confidence in our exceptional capability to resolve aircraft issues, leveraging our comprehensive service offerings globally and around the clock. Furthermore, this position encompasses the end-to-end administrative oversight of AOG projects, from initial planning to final invoicing.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Respond promptly to AOG requests as per the 24/7 duty roster.
  • Formulate optimal AOG resolutions for customers.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of relocating aircraft to primary maintenance facilities.
  • Coordinate with facility sites, Gulfstream FAST, or other external entities to secure localized solutions when appropriate.
  • Conduct initial fault assessments by gathering preliminary details from customers for technician troubleshooting.
  • Verify that requests align with company capabilities.
  • Execute compliance evaluations for new customers as required.
  • Develop estimated timelines and costings (including labor, materials, and travel).
  • Process down payments and ensure financial collection before aircraft release.
  • Verify and document any applicable warranty programs by asking the customer at the start of the project and recording it in SAP/Salesforce.
  • Administer and process warranty coverage claims, work orders, and authorizations to the respective OEM’s or special program providers.
  • Maintain and update the aircraft master database within SAP.
  • Oversee Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions, including:
    • Verifying parts availability.
    • Procuring necessary components.
    • Arranging shipments.
    • Coordinating the return shipment of unserviceable cores to suppliers/OEMs.
    • Managing the unused parts procedure (digital or physical, based on supplier protocols).
  • Establish and oversee opportunities and projects in Salesforce.
  • Orchestrate the deployment of AOG mechanics, specialized tools, and necessary materials.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders as needed to ensure the highest service quality.
  • Provide continuous customer updates throughout project execution.
  • Handle comprehensive AOG project administrative tasks.
  • Ensure thorough written and verbal handovers to fellow Duty Managers.
  • Furnish billing department with essential invoicing data.
  • Arrange FBO arrangements for aircraft and mechanics.
  • Verify VISA requirements for technical staff.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Swiss customs on AOG’s in Switzerland.
  • Manage technical records, prepare project packages, and maintain archiving.
  • Initiate and manage projects within the ERP tool.
  • Review and authorize Margin Sheets as per DoA.
  • Coordinate hangar space and tooling for AOG’s in projects.
  • Oversee parts AOGs during weekends and non-business hours for Aftermarket.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of a technical degree (e.g., BTS, associate degree, or 1-2 years of professional/technical study).
  • Profound comprehension of the aerospace MRO sector, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and governing regulatory frameworks.
  • Prior experience as an aircraft planning engineer or a certified Aircraft Technician/Engineer.
  • Proficiency in personal computing, including MS Office suites, with a preference for SAP knowledge.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Capacity to adapt to varied work schedules.
