ICRC in Geneva offers a 12-month AI Learning Associate traineeship to upskill staff in AI. You will help design and deliver AI learning activities, curate resources, and support knowledge management and learning paths across delegations.
The role requires a university degree in a relevant field, up to 2 years of experience, and fluency in English and French (Spanish is an asset). Familiarity with Python, Power BI and Git is advantageous. Start Jan 2027.
Since 1863, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has worked to preserve human dignity and relieve suffering caused by war and armed violence.
In collaboration with our Red Cross and Red Crescent partners around the world, we do everything we can to deliver life-saving aid, reconnect families and locate missing people – helping those who need it most, regardless of who they are and what side of the front line they are on.
We engage with authorities and armed forces on all sides, often confidentially, pressing for access to detainees to improve their living conditions and urging compliance with international humanitarian law to protect non-combatants, including from digital threats.
Digital technologies, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in particular, are rapidly transforming the ICRC’s operations and the way we work. Keeping pace with this change requires our staff to build new skills. Through this 12-month traineeship, the AI Learning Associate supports the ICRC’s plans to upskill its workforce in AI.
