VAT Vakuumventile AG in Haag, Switzerland, is seeking an AI & Cloud Application Architect to shape cloud-based SCM applications. You will define architectural standards for scalable data pipelines, APIs, and analytics, and steer AI/ML model and cloud app governance.

You will lead cross-functional workshops, evaluate new AI/cloud technologies, and guide the long-term stack and vendor strategy while mentoring engineers to uphold best-in-class architectural practices across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, math, engineering, or physics.
• Extensive hands-on cloud development experience in Azure; knowledge of AWS, GCP and Databricks is a plus.
• Advanced coding skills (Python, SQL) and experience architecting complex cloud-based solutions.
• Expert knowledge in data engineering, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
• Proven track record in AI/ML pipelines, preferably in forecasting or supply chain applications.
• Mastery of the full software development lifecycle (CI/CD, design, prototyping, deployment, maintenance).
• Senior-level experience in cross-functional teamwork, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation.

Aufgaben

• Define and design architectural standards for scalable cloud solutions, including data pipelines, APIs, and analytical tools.
• Oversee integrity and performance of SCM AI models and cloud applications, guiding improvements.
• Lead cross-functional workshops translating business needs into technical blueprints.
• Lead scouting of emerging AI/cloud technologies and define long-term stack and vendor strategy.
• Serve as technical authority on architectural best practices and build vs. buy decisions.
• Contribute to implementing the SCM digital roadmap and ensure projects follow standards.
• Lead technical activities in the SCM digital and AI hub, mentoring specialists and maintaining standards.
