Job summary

Biogen, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Affiliate Finance to join the CHAT Cluster finance team in Switzerland. You will oversee local accounting, month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with Finance Shared Services (Warsaw) and the Finance Director.

You will lead external expense coordination, develop dashboards with KPIs, and support audits while ensuring compliance with SOX. Fluency in German and English is required, and prior biotech/ pharma experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Proven analytics to support commercial operations.
• Expert knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and principles.
• Strong systems knowledge, particularly with Hyperion/Essbase/Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial and ethical approach.
• Team player with fluency in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead local accounting activities related to monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing with Finance Shared Services.
• Prepare month-end sales entries, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Coordinate monthly closing with Corporate Controller and explain variances vs AOP/Forecast.
• Assist Finance Director in FP&A, including budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Own external expense coordination with departments for forecasts and AOP planning.
• Develop and update monthly dashboards with KPIs including Revenue, Expenses, and Entity P&L.
• Lead audits to ensure SOX compliance and support external/internal reviews.
• Oversee supply chain finance via the external logistics provider and address inquiries.
• Prepare and distribute standardized financial reporting packages and analyze actual vs budget/forecast.
