Job summary

Adaptyv is building an automated lab where AI agents run biology experiments. We are hiring a finance leader to build and own the entire finance stack: forecast, margin, pricing, close, cash, and compliance. You will automate workflows, manage cash across Switzerland and the US, and provide investor-ready reporting.

The role requires building a scalable finance function in a fast-growing biotech startup, with a focus on operational finance, modeling, and API-driven tooling.

Qualifications

• You have built a finance function, not just worked in one.
• You can build a real model tying throughput, yield, capacity to cash.
• You write code, or you are visibly about to; SQL at minimum, Python ideally.
• You understand cost structure of a physical business: reagents, instruments, capex vs COGS.

Responsibilities

• Own the forecast end-to-end, bottom-up and top-down.
• Own gross margin calculations across experiments and products.
• Own pricing decisions with commercial input.
• Own the close and intercompany consolidation.
• Own cash management across Switzerland and the US.
• Keep us compliant on tax, VAT, payroll and audits.
• Investor reporting and treasury management.
• Equipment leasing and asset management.
• Automate all of the above.
