As an Accounting Account Manager (AM), you manage assigned client relationships, oversee accounting functions, and deliver accurate financial reporting while managing projects and revenue responsibly. You are responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and trusted accounting services to assigned agency clients. This role manages client relationships, oversees delegated accounting work, ensures contractual obligations are met, and protects both client financial integrity and firm profitability. The AM role is consultative and supervisory in nature, with an emphasis on judgment, workflow management, and proactive client care.
Success in the Accounting Account Manager role means clients trust your judgment, work flows to the right level, issues are anticipated rather than reacted to, and your time is spent on high-value oversight rather than rework. You are successful when your accounts are predictable, profitable, and supported by a capable team beneath you.
