Located in downtown Toronto, the largest and most culturally diverse city in Canada and on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, the Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Mechatronics Engineering (MIME) in the Faculty of Engineering & Architectural Science invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mechatronics Engineering focusing on Mechatronics/Robotics, effective July 1 2026, subject to final budgetary approval.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising students, and developing curriculum. The candidate will also pursue an externally funded, innovative research program that produces cutting‑edge, high‑quality results.
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical‑Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field by the appointment date.
Eligibility for, and commitment to, acquiring the P.Eng. License in the Province of Ontario is a requirement.

This position falls under the jurisdiction of the Toronto Metropolitan Faculty Association (TFA). The minimum salary for the Assistant Professor rank is $103,916.30 per annum, though salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
