Job summary
A healthcare facility in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a Certified Health Information Management Technician to ensure the accuracy and completeness of health records. The role involves coding and abstracting for CIHI submission, qualitative analysis of charts, and conducting quality audits. Candidates should possess 1-2 years of experience in health information management, a graduate of an approved program, and be an active member of CHIMA. Proficiency in French is an asset.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Health Information Management Technician preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of ICD10/CCI and Med2020 Abstracting system is an asset.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, electronic/computer environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure health records are complete and accurate.
- Provide data for program planning and funding.
- Conduct qualitative analysis of charts and quality audits.
