Job Title: Data Manager –

Our Client develops and delivers next-generation military and public safety technology for military and first responder customers. The company is proudly Canadian and provides Dismounted/Mounted Domain Expertise in Command-and-Control software development, integration, and support services.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Manager to join their LC4ISR program in an Obsolescence Management role. This role focuses on the tracking and archiving of software data items as part of the LC4ISR Obsolescence Management process.

• Tracking the current status of software items in development and in use
• Tracking of software items being decommissioned or replaced
• Archiving software items being discontinued from further development
• Linking in with the Build Books team to archive latest software builds
• Manage ITAR requirements applicable to specific software items
• Maintaining data filing processes & registries
• Maintaining any data exchanges (i.e. secure FTP) required to move the software from system to system
• Establish Data Management processes for software moving in and out of baseline images
• Managing the software Configuration Item (CI) environment
• Mentoring and guiding team members, sharing best practices and expertise in software data management methodologies
• Researching to find out better CM/DM tools

Job Type: Full-time

• Must possess an active SECRET security clearance
• Experience in Data Management (DM) and Configuration Management (CM) best practices
• Certificate in Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience with MS Office, especially MS Excel and Sharepoint
• Experience with data gathering using Google and AI tools
• Familiarity with DOORS is an asset
• Good understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
• Experience with software obsolescence is important
• Strong understanding of the Software Life-Cycle Management process is an asset
• Understanding of Controlled Goods Program and ITAR processes is desired
• Knowledge of SAFe Agile principles
• Experience with Confluence, IBM Rational Team Concert (also referred as EWM and RTC) is an asset
• Understanding of the DND organization is an asset
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are a must

• Data gathering using Google and AI: 2 years (required)

• Secret Security Clearance (required)
