Job description

We are seeking to fill a permanent, full-time position for a Product Manager at Onward Hardware, a division of Richelieu Hardware.

The Product Manager will oversee their product categories, managing the existing range and developing new products.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Defining product strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.
  2. Conducting market and competitive studies to understand and anticipate market needs.
  3. Managing the performance of the current product range, including sales growth, promotions, inventory, and financial criteria.
  4. Creating new products or services and coordinating launch plans with various departments.
  5. Defining specifications for new products.
  6. Developing marketing strategies and tools for new products.
  7. Developing and delivering training for the sales team.
  8. Collaborating with suppliers and customers on product development.
  9. Managing the product lifecycle and commercial agreements.
  10. Serving as a technical expert in their field.
  11. Supporting customers with technical and sales assistance.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in Builders Hardware for commercial and residential sectors.
  3. Experience in B2B sectors and managing technical products is advantageous.
  4. Knowledge of the kitchen and furniture industry is a plus.
  5. Strong analytical skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  7. Effective prioritization skills.
  8. Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  9. Negotiation skills with external partners.
  10. Ability to motivate and coordinate across departments.
  11. Pragmatic approach with a focus on field proximity.
  12. Willingness to travel and proficient in basic software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  13. Experience with ERP systems and familiarity with CAD software, e-commerce, and web environments are assets.
