Dairy Frozen Associate
Job summary
A major retail company located in Alberta is seeking a Dairy/Frozen Stocker to maintain and stock the Dairy/Frozen department. Responsibilities include zoning the area, checking stock for expiration, and ensuring that merchandise is properly priced and signed. Candidates must be 16 years or older. This position offers a starting pay rate of $16.15, with pay determined by relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Ability to assist customers with exemplary service.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, zone, and stock assigned area in Dairy/Frozen department.
- Rotate stock and check for expired products.
- Ensure proper pricing and signage of merchandise.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized area.
Position Summary: A Dairy/Frozen Stocker properly maintains, zones, and stocks his/her assigned area, assists customers and maintains modular and feature presentations, while maintaining exemplary customer service by adhering to the Basic Beliefs and values of Wal-Mart.
- Zoning the department.
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products.
- Ensuring the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
- Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration dates.
- Adhering to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Following proper procedures for: Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
- Maintaining features.
- Keeping the area N.C.O. and free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.15. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
