Sr Back-End Developer - C++ plus Java & Python

This is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm. Client Location is downtown Toronto Ontario, close to TTC and GO service. Hybrid - In Office 4 days per week. Contract - 6 months, possible renewal.

• Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.
• Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.
• Develop solutions that are in line with the client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.
• Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation. Proactively find inefficiencies in processes, suggest enhancements, and present proposals to leadership.

• 7+ years' experience using C++
• 5+ years Java development, covering the whole development life cycle
• 3+ years Python development, covering the whole development life cycle
• Hands-on expertise in internal integrations
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to understand and interpret stakeholder requirements & translate them into meaningful metrics and reports.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills with high attention to detail; demonstrated strength in problem-solving and multi-tasking.
• Ability to take ownership of the process and work with minimum supervision

• Capital markets/investment industry experience
• Good technical skills with AWS technologies such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3
