With a strong commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, we engineer and supply wear-resistant materials and fabricated components that maximize equipment uptime and reduce operational costs. We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team in Abbotsford, BC. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our continued success by building strong relationships with B2B clients.

Job Category: Direct B2B Sales

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Travel: Required within the Greater Vancouver, Lower Mainland, and Fraser Valley regions

Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 (including base salary, sales commissions, and On-Target Earnings- OTE)

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales and fostering strong customer relationships within your assigned territory. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular sales calls (in-person, email, phone, or events) with customers in your assigned area on a monthly basis.
  • Meeting and exceeding assigned sales quotas and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your territory, including maintaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within your assigned region and customer base, meticulously recording all activities in the company’s CRM platform.
  • Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing Coordinator to prepare accurate and competitive quotes for customers, clearly communicating price, manufacturing timelines, and delivery schedules.
  • Accurately entering won orders/purchase orders into the system for production, ensuring all details are captured accurately.
  • Providing a positive onboarding experience for new customers to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Conducting proactive customer follow-ups and providing exceptional after-sales care to assigned customers within your territory.
  • Contributing to an exceptional customer experience in alignment with the order fulfillment process.
  • Actively contributing to the growth of IMS Metal Wear Solutions by closing sales opportunities in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborating closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to support the building of the IMS Solutions brand (Piranha Protection Products) by attending industry events such as trade shows and hosting customer “Lunch and Learn” sessions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of post-secondary education.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales and/or technical project sales.
  • Valid BC driver’s licence.
  • Minimum of 2 previous employment references.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Calendar and Teams).
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Additional Assets:
  • CPSA Certification or formal sales training.
  • Working knowledge of Hubspot.
  • Strong understanding of the heavy equipment and operational challenges within the mining, industrial construction, forestry, and/or recycling industry.

IMS Metal Wear Solutions offers a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, sales commissions, and OTE.
