A leading transportation company in Canada is seeking a Junior Foreman to assist the Foreman in leading a dock crew, ensuring safe unloading and loading procedures while meeting service targets. The ideal candidate should have excellent leadership skills, a strong knowledge of the Winnipeg area, and be willing to train new hires. - Willingness to learn operations at the dock.

Responsibilities
- Support the Foreman in leading the dock crew.
- Ensure safe unloading/loading of equipment.
- Conduct daily audits for quality control.
- Report daily on equipment issues.
- Mentor and lead dock crew staff.

- The Junior Foreman supports the Foreman.
- By leading the dock crew to safely unload and load linehaul and city equipment. In order meet service targets.
- Leads on safety and compliance to help create safe work culture and compliance to processes.
- On Forklift as well some manual work is required.
- Quality Task Audits daily and reporting on any gaps.
- Reports daily on any equipment issues forklifts and Hand Jacks.
- Reports daily on any near miss
- Leadership, able to mentor and lead.
- Must be able to cover Foreman shifts at time with little notice as well as vacation days etc.
- Knowledge of city of Winnipeg and surrounding rural towns-ability to plan a delivery run.
- Leadership skills can clearly set expectations and assign tasks with company safety targets and service targets in mind.
- Flexibility with little notice to work a variety of shifts. this shift start late evening and early mornings and weekends.
- Willing to learn to run the am dock,
