Job summary

Niagara Adventure Excursions is seeking a Zipline Guide Lead to support, motivate, and guide the Zipline Guide team while ensuring safe, smooth daily operations. You’ll lead, mentor, and enforce safety standards, creating memorable experiences for guests in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a customer-service mindset, with seasonal full-time or part-time hours and a focus on safety and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the Zipline Guide team during daily operations.
  • Ensure opening checks, gear inspections, and safety procedures are completed.
  • Create safe, positive, and inclusive experiences for all guests.
  • Monitor and enforce safety rules and standards.
  • Be a consistent point of support for Guides during shifts.
  • Ensure team breaks are provided.
  • Apply Corrective Action procedures fairly and consistently.
  • Maintain knowledge of schedules, reservations, and policies.
  • Perform regular guiding shifts and coaching.
  • Support regular equipment inspections.
  • Work with Element Supervisor, Duty Managers, and Department Supervisors.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and morale.

Zipline Guide Lead
Niagara Adventure Excursions

As a Zipline Guide Lead, you support, motivate, and guide the Zipline Guide team while helping ensure safe, smooth, and well-organized daily operations. You are a knowledgeable leader in zipline procedures, set high standards for guest service, and act as an important communication link between on-site teams.

You bring a positive, approachable leadership style and are confident stepping in to support your team wherever needed.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and coordinate the Zipline Guide team during daily operations
  • Ensure all opening checks, daily gear inspections, and safety procedures are completed
  • Create safe, positive, and inclusive experiences for all guests
  • Monitor and enforce safety rules and operational standards
  • Be a consistent point of support for Guides throughout their shifts
  • Ensure team members receive appropriate breaks
  • Apply Corrective Action procedures fairly and consistently
  • Maintain working knowledge of schedules, reservations, and Niagara Adventure Excursions policies (including pricing, refunds, and access requirements)
  • Perform regular guiding shifts
  • Assist with coaching, mentoring, and training team members
  • Support regular equipment inspections
  • Work closely with the Element Supervisor, Duty Managers, and Department Supervisors
  • Contribute positively to team culture and workplace morale
Additional Responsibilities (With Certification):
Rescue Team:
  • Perform emergency response and rescue techniques
  • Provide first aid and complete zipline retrievals
What You Bring:
  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role. Assistance is required for lifts over 50 lbs; reasonable accommodation may be available
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification (or willingness to obtain prior to your first shift)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of or experience in outdoor recreation, either through participation or previous employment
  • Experience in a risk management role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, hospitality-based environment
Department and Reporting Structure

The Zipline Guide Lead position falls under the Element Department. You report to the Element Supervisor and are supported by the Leadership Team.

Work Schedule

Seasonal position with flexible full-time or part-time hours based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
