Job summary

Fresh Prep Foods Inc. in Calgary is seeking a Packaging Associate to support meal-kit production lines. You will operate and maintain industrial portioning and packaging machines, and assemble ingredients per recipe specs while upholding a clean, safe production area.

The role requires basic Excel/Google Sheets, strong numerical skills, and allergen handling awareness. You’ll work Thu-Sun 7:00am–5:00pm, earn CAD 22.20/hour, and benefit from health coverage after 90 days along with food perks and

Qualifications

• Strong numerical skills with experience in inventory management and stock control.
• Clear, articulate communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic team player who practices professionalism and understanding in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• The main activity in this department is the packaging of the ingredients per our different recipes specifications, into their appropriate plastic packaging and kits.
• You will prepare and package food items according to weekly recipe specifications with the use and operation of specific single use packaging portioning machines
• You will be required to set up and maintain the packaging machines in safe, clean and good operating condition
• You will be required to work in a safe manner and to assist in maintaining a clean, healthy, food-safe production facility
• This position involves frequent bending and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as part of the essential duties
• The role includes end-of-shift cleanup and the proper staging of finished products
• You will be working your shift in an area where the temperature is maintained between 0-4 degrees Celsius

What You'll Be Doing

Experience operating and maintaining industrial portioning and packaging machines in a fast-paced environment.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data entry, tracking, and reporting

Strong numerical skills with experience in inventory management and stock control

Solid understanding of allergen segregation and food safety compliance

Clear, articulate communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Empathetic team player who practices professionalism and understanding in all interactions
