Job summary

Quick Scrap Metal is seeking a reliable Z Driver to operate a lift gate truck for the pickup and transportation of scrap metal and materials. The role requires knowledge of local routes, a safety-focused mindset, and a commitment to customer service.

The successful candidate will perform daily vehicle inspections, secure loads properly, and maintain accurate logs and documentation in line with company and MTO regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Z Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
• Experience operating a lift gate truck is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual handling.
• Knowledge of GTA routes and local traffic regulations.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and time management.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate Z-class truck with lift gate for local pickups and deliveries.
• Safely load, unload, and transport scrap metal and materials.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure proper securing of loads in compliance with safety regulations.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining efficiency.
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Complete delivery logs, inspection reports, and required documentation.
• Adhere to company policies, MTO regulations, and safety standards.
