Qualifications

• Knowledge of small business development is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Raise entrepreneurial and program awareness.
• Promote Youth Ventures throughout the UNF Avalon Branch community.
• Assist youth in developing their business ideas and strategies.
• Deliver presentations and attend local events to recruit participants.
• Monitor and track participant progress, providing ongoing feedback.
• Organize events and mentorship opportunities for youth participants.
• Celebrate and showcase youth business success.
• Prepare reports as required.

The Ukrainian National Federation – Avalon Branch is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to coordinate and deliver the Youth Ventures Program, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and engaging Ukrainian youth across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Location

St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador (occasional travel throughout the region)

Position Type

14 to 16-week placement (anticipated start: December 2025)

Responsibilities

• Raise entrepreneurial and program awareness
• Promote Youth Ventures throughout the UNF Avalon Branch community.
• Assist youth in developing their business ideas and strategies.

• Organize events and mentorship opportunities for youth participants.
• Celebrate and showcase youth business success.
• Prepare reports as required

Key Competencies

• Knowledge of small business development and business plan creation is considered an asset.
• Strong leadership skills with experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Outstanding documentation and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Canva,
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Knowledge of Ukrainian is an asset.

The successful candidate will be required to submit a Conduct Record Check.

This is a full-time, temporary position. Flexibility outside of regular office hours will be required.
