Job summary

The Metis Nation of Ontario is seeking a Youth Success Coordinator to join the Thunder Bay Transitional Housing Program. You will help ensure the safety, stability, and wellbeing of participants, delivering culturally safe, trauma-informed support aligned with funding requirements.

You will monitor participant needs, maintain confidential files, connect clients with Indigenous services, and collaborate with staff and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in social services or youth work.
• Client service experience.
• Experience presenting and facilitating trainings.
• Crisis situations handled professionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain safety of participants during shifts.
• Deliver program services and support participants within the housing program.
• Build rapport with participants and ensure open communication.
• Enforce policies and participant agreements; support crisis interventions.
• Maintain confidential participant files and prepare case notes.
• Assist with resources, referrals, and program materials.
