Job summary

The John Howard Society of Saskatchewan is seeking a Caseworker for Youth Housing to support youth in a residential setting.

You will provide intensive case management, crisis support, and connection to community services, while maintaining confidentiality and rotating shifts across days and evenings. A relevant degree and experience with at-risk youth are preferred, along with a valid Saskatchewan driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience working with individuals affected by homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty or child welfare.
• Experience with diverse clients across age, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds.
• First Aid/CPR, ASIST, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, Food Safe would be assets.
• Valid driver’s license in Saskatchewan and insurability to drive JHSS vehicles.
• Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check completed within 3 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in case management, service delivery, and household operations.
• Provide intensive one-on-one case management and crisis support.
• Connect participants to community supports and resources.
• Promote stabilization and crisis intervention with clients.
• Model positive behaviour and support self-help and non-violent problem-solving.
• Maintain confidentiality and perform duties as assigned.
