Job summary

The Children and Youth Education Coordinator at the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (CSFS) at UBC Farm develops and delivers educational programs for children and youth throughout the year, including camps, field trips, and workshops.

Working with the Education Manager, the Coordinator creates curriculum, manages operations and budgets, and mentors seasonal staff and volunteers to support experiential learning in sustainability and food systems education.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver children and youth educational programs.
• Develop and update age-appropriate curriculum and learning resources.
• Supervise seasonal staff and volunteers; provide training and guidance.
• Manage program budgets and monitor revenues/expenditures.
• Build relationships with schools, community organizations, Indigenous partners, and families.
• Ensure safety, risk management, and child protection compliance.
