Job summary

La Tablée des Chefs is seeking a Consultant Chef Trainer to deliver weekly culinary workshops for youth (12–25) using provided educational materials. The role requires a cooking background, teaching ability, and reliability.

Location is in schools and DYP settings with modest fees per workshop; a criminal background check is required for working with minors. Flexibility in schedule and ability to purchase ingredients within allocated budgets are essential, with programs running 20 weeks and

Qualifications

• Be passionate about food and cooking.
• Be skilled in animation and teaching.
• Comfortable with teenagers and young adults (12–25 years old).
• Be empathetic, flexible, and able to adapt to the diverse realities of vulnerable youth.
• Be autonomous, organized and responsible.
• Have completed a DEP in cooking, a training in nutrition or equivalent, an asset.
• Experience in facilitation or education, an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one culinary workshop of 2 - 2.5 hours per week as part of the mandate.
• Teach participants basic cooking techniques and guide them through recipe preparation.
• Deliver each workshop using the educational materials provided by La Tablée des Chefs and ensure preparation with the workshop content beforehand.
• Purchase the ingredients required for workshop recipes (budget allocated).
• Provide the administrative documentation required for the mandate (e.g., invoices, evaluation questionnaires).
