Job summary

Kitchen Brigades, a culinary education program in Canada, seeks a Consultant Chef Trainer to lead after-school workshops for youth (12–17) using provided materials. You will teach basic cooking techniques, plan content ahead, and manage ingredient purchases within budget.

The mandate spans 24 weeks with workshops 2–2.5 hours weekly, requiring a criminal background check due to minor interactions. Expect 24 workshops and coordination with the participating establishment.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about food and cooking.
• Strong skills in animation and teaching.
• Comfortable with teenagers aged 12–17.
• Empathetic, flexible and able to adapt to diverse youth.
• Autonomous, organized and responsible.
• DEP in cooking or nutrition training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one culinary workshop of 2–2.5 hours per week.
• Teach basic cooking techniques and guide recipe prep.
• Use provided La Tablée des Chefs materials and prep content beforehand.
• Purchase ingredients for workshop recipes (budgeted).
• Collaborate with participating establishment on Kitchen Brigades.
• Provide administrative documentation (invoices, evaluations).
