Job summary

Eagle's Nest Youth Ranch in Prince Albert, SK, is seeking casual youth-care staff to provide day-to-day care, support and therapeutic intervention to youth in a residential setting.

You will develop engaging activities promoting personal growth, cultural awareness, and community involvement, while fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every youth feels valued. Work with a dedicated team to create individualized care plans and mentor youth through life’s challenges.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, or related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with youth in a care or support role is preferred.
  • Understanding of Indigenous cultures and issues affecting Indigenous communities is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with youth, families, and team members.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, show empathy and provide emotional support.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Level C Certification.
  • Recent Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector screening.
  • Valid driver license (Class 5, Novice 2, or higher).

What You'll Do

  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and find constructive solutions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Level C Certification
  • Recent Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector screening.
  • Valid Class 5, Novice 2, or Higher Drivers License
