Job summary

Autism Services in North Battleford, Canada, is hiring a Youth Care Worker to provide day-to-day care and therapeutic support in a residential setting.

You will develop engaging activities, foster inclusion, and collaborate with a team to create individualized care plans for youth. A permanent, full/part-time role offers flexible hours and a compassionate, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, or related field is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working with youth in a care or support role.
  • Understanding of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and issues affecting Indigenous communities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with youth, families, and team members.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, show empathy, and provide emotional support.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and find constructive solutions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Level C Certification.
  • Recent Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector screening.
  • Valid Class 5, Novice 2, or Higher Drivers License
