Job summary

Base pay range

CA$18.00 / hr - CA$18.00 / hr

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Leader to join our team for this summer season. The successful candidate will assist in gathering the students, helping, and leading a variety of activities for our students. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about working with young people and enjoys a lively, fast-paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Leading and facilitating group activities, games, and sports while ensuring student safety and engagement.
  • Providing instruction and encouragement to support students’ personal growth, teamwork, and skill-building.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to participate.
  • Planning and running age-appropriate activities tailored to students' diverse interests and needs.
  • Supervising students during activities and transitions while maintaining appropriate supervision ratios.
  • Assisting in behavior management and resolving conflicts using positive communication techniques.
  • Acting as a positive role model, demonstrating respect, sportsmanship, and empathy.
  • Collaborating with staff to coordinate daily schedules and ensure smooth transitions between activities.
  • Attending staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.
  • Taking photos of students during activities for documentation purposes.
  • Submitting daily reports on activities, student participation, highlights, and any incidents.
  • Keeping accurate records of student attendance and reporting any medical or behavioral issues.
  • Follow all program policies regarding child protection, confidentiality, and emergency procedures.

Requirement

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a similar position is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for student engagement.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Schedule

  • Monday to Saturday.

Education

  • High School Diploma (required).
  • Professional English Working Fluency.
