Job Responsibilities

1. Load and unload trucks at both the shipping and receiving ends of the plant.
2. Operate overhead crane to move steel and organize the yard.
3. Locate steel pieces for Machine Operators, Fitters, and Welders.
4. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by picking up debris.
5. Work in all weather conditions.
6. Assist in the steel shop as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of high school.
• Previous experience in a structural steel fabrication shop is considered an asset.
• Successful helpers may have opportunities to advance and train for positions such as Welder, Fitter, and Machine Operator.
