Job summary

Harbour Link Container Services Inc. in Delta, BC is seeking a Yard Worker to join our Yard Operations team.

The role reports to the Manager of Container Yard Operations and requires a proactive, self-motivated approach with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Computer and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Previous customer service experience would be an asset.
• Fork lift experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Verify the acceptance and release of containers entering and leaving the terminal.
• Perform and update container interchanges into the Company’s computerized terminal management software.
• Inspect containers as they enter and leave the terminal.
• Coordinate truck pickups and arrivals.
• Respond to email and phone calls.
• Sweep / wash the inside of containers.
• Monitor refrigerated container temperatures.
• Prepare inventory reports as required.
• Maintaining cleanliness of yard.
