Job summary

WF Steel & Crane, a leading Alberta fabricator of structural steel and overhead cranes, seeks an experienced Structural Loader to join our shop team in Nisku. You will load and unload materials, operate forklifts and cranes, and help ensure safe, efficient handling from trucks to storage racks.

With 1–5 years' experience in loading structural steel, you will work closely with the shop foreman to plan activities, prioritize tasks, and maintain quality and accuracy in material handling while

Qualifications

• 1–5 years experience in loading structural steel or related work.
• Experience safely operating overhead cranes.
• Forklift operation experience is required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload structural steel materials onto and off trucks, trailers, and storage racks.
• Ensure materials are loaded safely and efficiently to prevent injury or damage.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of materials being loaded or unloaded.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work directly with shop Foreman to proactively plan loading activities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate loading of materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

• Previous experience in Loading Structural Steel (1-5 years).
• Competent in the safe operation of Overhead Cranes
• Experienced forklift operator
• Ability to multitask and prioritizes demands of the position
