Job summary

WF Steel & Crane Ltd. in Alberta is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our maintenance team in a structural steel and crane fabrication facility in Nisku. The role offers an hourly rate, benefits, RRSP matching after probation, and regular Monday to Friday work with overtime.

You will work closely with the maintenance department, read schematic diagrams, handle cables, inverters and electrical controls, and develop skills on new equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Apprentice.
• Ability to read schematic diagrams and blueprints.
• Competent electrical knowledge.
• Practical knowledge of inverters and electrical controls.
• Experience with cable glanding and terminating.
• Diligent worker capable of team or autonomous work.
• Keen to continue training on new equipment and legislation.
• Ability to work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical maintenance tasks within a structural steel and crane fabrication facility.
• Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure safe, reliable electrical systems.
• Support reading diagrams and wiring layouts to install and service equipment.

The Position -

An opportunity currently exists for an Apprentice Electrician. We are offering a competitive hourly rate, benefits and RRSP matching (after probationary period). The position is based in Nisku. This is an in-town position with regular Monday to Friday scheduling, regularly scheduled overtime and the majority of the work is indoors.

The Ideal Candidate -

You will work directly with the maintenance department in a structural steel and crane fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Registered Electrical Apprentice
• Able to read schematic diagrams and blue prints
• Competent electrical knowledge.
• Practical knowledge of Inverters and electrical controls.
• Experience with cable glanding and terminating.
• A diligent worker who can operate within a team or autonomously as required.
• A keenness to continue training on new equipment and legislation.
• Working at a heights
