Position Overview

We are currently looking for a responsible, dependable, and safe Plant Yard Hand at the Rolling Mix Concrete West End Plant. This position is primarily responsible for basic maintenance, support, and labour at the plant facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labour throughout the plant
• Perform basic maintenance on plant equipment
• Assist plant manager with needed tasks and operations
• Dump ice and other materials into concrete mixtures
• Transportation of materials and product
• General housekeeping and yard work
• Attend meetings and wear PPE while on site, etc.
• Participate in Company Safety program and initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license
• Basic mechanical ability to perform maintenance repairs
• Reliability and dependability
• CSTS Certification (Preferred)
• WHIMIS training (Preferred)
• Experience working with concrete (Preferred)

What you can expect:

• An outdoor and indoor environment, working conditions will be subject to weather conditions
• Position is physical in nature and requires bending, crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods of time
• Materials are heavy and cumbersome, must be able to life 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Work schedule will vary with overtime required at times
