Joe Johnson Equipment (JJE) in Edmonton, Alberta is hiring a Yard Coordinator to manage the movement and inspection of equipment in our Edmonton yard. You will receive incoming units, ensure proper check‑in, prep trucks for technician handover, and shuttle equipment to vendors while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires 2+ years in a yard/coordinator role, valid licenses, and strong teamwork with shop staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a Yard Coordinator role or related position
• Ability to safely operate Company vehicles and heavy equipment or trucks in support of yard operations
• Mechanical aptitude or prior exposure to heavy equipment environment is an asset
• Ability to use computers including MS Office
• Attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Demonstrated professionalism and team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact by receiving all incoming units in the yard
• Conduct thorough inspections of units per check‑in procedures
• Walk‑around inspections of units per procedures
• Park and relocate units to the shop for efficiency
• Prepare trucks for handovers to technicians
• Shuttle units to and from vendors as needed
• Assist in cleaning equipment and maintaining a safe yard
• Check in/out customer and rental units promptly
• Assist technicians with tasks and start‑up procedures
• Oversee yard equipment maintenance and servicing
• Manage seasonal tasks like plowing, salting, and sanding
• Oversee loading/unloading of equipment
• Store rental equipment during non‑active cycles
• Perform other duties as assigned
