Cooper Equipment Rentals in Ottawa, ON is seeking a Yard Coordinator to join our team. You will load and unload propane, operate a forklift, deliver tanks, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a valid G/5 license, comfort with outdoor work, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Overtime may be required during peak seasons; training opportunities are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Class G/5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory abstract (max 3 demerit points). Updated abstract may be requested.
• Familiarity with local roads.
• Propane/LPG handling or fuel delivery experience is an asset.
• Experience with inventory management or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong customer-service skills with a professional, courteous attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift ~50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak seasonal demand.
• Commitment to job-specific training (Propane Training Institute, TDG, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and adaptability skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and/or equipment operation experience is an asset.

• Comfortable using computers/technology for inspections, inventory, and recordkeeping.

Aufgaben

• Operate a forklift to load/unload propane, equipment, and parts.
• Deliver propane to customer sites and ensure deliveries are secure and compliant.
• Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and customer records; secure signatures.
• Report delivery or pickup issues to supervisor and share potential sales opportunities.
• Verify orders against deliveries for accuracy.
• Communicate with branch team if behind schedule for customer updates.
• Assist with ordering parts, equipment, and inventory management.
• Wash, dry, and detail equipment using pressure washers and tools.
• Help with loading/unloading, fueling, and yard organization.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage; report issues and tag services.
• Follow all health and safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform other duties as required.
