Job summary

The Pioneer Co-Operative Association Limited in Shaunavon is seeking a part-time team member to assist customers, promote sales, and handle day-to-day store operations. You will receive merchandise, prepare and deliver products, and help maintain a safe, clean workplace.

Applicants should have a valid Class 5 driver’s license, be willing to work weekends and varied shifts, and be able to lift heavy items. Forklift certification is an asset; safety compliance is important.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sales of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
• To receive merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
• To operate and maintain all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
• To pick, prepare and deliver products as directed by the manager.
• Ensuring proper storage of inventory in all areas.
• Perform housekeeping duties in all areas of Home & Agro building facilities and yards.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must have a valid Class 5 or higher drivers license (or willing to obtain higher class). Have a positive, professional approach and attitude. Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends. A pleasant and out-going personality. A desire and ability to work with the public. Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing and kneeling. Forklift certification would be an asset. Home Centre & Agro product knowledge an asset. Considered Safety Sensitive Position; Alcohol & Substance testing required as condition of employment. Averages 24 40 hours/week.
