Job summary

The Pioneer Co-Operative Association Limited in Swift Current, SK is seeking a casual, permanent Retail Associate to provide excellent customer service, handle till duties, and keep the store well merchandised.

The role requires forklift certification and TDG/WHMIS/Serve It Right Saskatchewan, weekend availability, and the ability to lift and perform physical tasks in a safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Maintain knowledge of till and cash-related duties
• Stock and display products to present a neat, clean, well-merchandised department
• Selling, loading and recording sales according to regulations
• Provide good customer service in all commodities
• Maintain and clean equipment regularly; check case temperatures
• Clean up garbage in the yard, cut grass, weed whip, chem spray (with supervisor), snow and ice removal
• Pick, prepare and deliver products; assist with inventory counting
• Assist with inventory control, receiving and merchandising of products
• General housekeeping duties, presenting a clean, well-merchandised store
• Operate forklift
• Other duties as assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

Must be willing to become Forklift certified and obtain certification for TDG, WHMIS & Serve it Right Saskatchewan. Must be able to work efficiently, independently, and assume responsibility. Farm knowledge considered an asset. Involves lifting. Must be willing to work all shifts, including weekends. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position: therefore, is subject to Pioneer Co-ops Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment.
