Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in the areas of Building Material products, Hardware, Chemical, and Petroleum Products. Be knowledgeable about products and services offered by Pioneer Co-op
• Provide gas pump and propane service.
• Perform deliveries and operate forklift with certification as required.
• Stock shelves, coolers and general housekeeping duties.
• Assist with receiving, pricing and displaying merchandise.
• Pick and prepare customer orders, taking payments, receiving and invoicing, inventory counts and control processes.
• Process point of sale transactions/returns for customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience considered an asset.
• Must obtain TDG, WHMIS, Propane Certificates, SIRS course once hired as a condition of employment.
• This position involves heavy lifting and requires a valid class 5 Drivers license or higher.
• Position is classified as Safety Sensitive Position: therefore, is subject to Pioneer Co-ops Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment.
• Must be available for shifts on weekdays and weekends. Averages 24 - 40 hrs/week
