PERI is seeking a Yard Associate to support the stockyard by performing welding tasks and assisting in operations across departments. The role emphasizes maintaining a safety-first culture and daily readiness to handle diverse tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include welding, material prep, inventory assistance, equipment operation, and yard maintenance while ensuring a clean, safe work environment and timely completion of tasks.

The main purpose of PERI’s Yard Associate is to support the PERI stockyard by conducting welding tasks. The Yard Associate does this by performing various tasks to support the operations. The Yard Associate may work in a variety of different departments within the stockyard, as assigned by the yard supervisor, to complete diverse job tasks. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Yard Associate position to work towards maintaining a Safety-First Culture.

What You’ll Do In a Typical Day

• Performs welding tasks as needed (aluminum and steel).
• Prep, weld, and final prep all material required for welding.
• Repair PERI material based on rental criteria and working instructions.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory preparation and counting.
• Operate powered industrial equipment.
• Assist with performing yard maintenance and clean-up.
• Complete all assigned job tasks within designated timeframe.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by following safety and housekeeping processes and procedures.
• Assist in job shadowing new employees.
• Maintains clean and safe working environment.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Previous welding experience.
• Similar work experience may be beneficial.
• Forklift knowledge (preferred)
• Flexible to work overtime if required.
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Equipment Skills: Experience using small hand and power tools and can read a tape measure.
• Adaptability: Flexible, responds well to changing circumstances, overcomes challenges, and maintains a positive attitude.
• Safety Awareness: Prioritizes safety, identifies potential risks, and ensures compliance with safety standards.

• PERI Offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, supplemental options, 401k retirement with company match, paid holidays, sick leave, and paid time off.
• The allocated hourly wage for this role is between $19.50 to $22.00 per hour.
