Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a warehouse associate to support loading, packing, shipping and receiving operations. You will verify shipments, organize inventory and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced yard and warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates bring prior warehouse experience, basic computer skills and a commitment to dependable, proactive work in all weather conditions. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or yard experience is an asset.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office, are an asset.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills desired.
• Must be dependable, willing to take initiative and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments.
• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders, including shipment documentation.
• Receive all incoming shipments and verify product accuracy.
• Distribute products to the correct warehouse or yard area promptly.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety procedures within the yard.
• Load items into the truck while following safety standards and schedules.
• Work in extended heat and cold environments as needed.

What you will do:

• Load and unload materials in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments.
• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders, including preparing necessary shipment documentation.
• Receive all incoming shipments, verify product accuracy, and authorize receipt.
• Distribute products to the correct warehouse or yard area promptly.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety procedures within the yard.
• Load items and orders into the truck while adhering to delivery schedules, safety standards, and destination-specific regulations.
• Extended periods working in heat and cold environments.

What you will bring:

• Previous warehouse or yard experience is considered an asset
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, are an asset
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative
• Able to regularly lift (up to 50lbs pounds)
• Forklift operation required; training and certification will be provided
• WHMIS and TDG certification - training will be provided
