Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a warehouse associate to load/unload materials, pick/pack orders, and verify incoming shipments. You will distribute products within the yard, maintain safety standards, and operate forklift as needed while adhering to delivery schedules and regulations.

The role involves exposure to heat and cold throughout shifts. Ideal candidates bring warehouse or yard experience, strong customer service, reliable work ethic, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse or yard experience is an asset.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are an asset.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Dependable and reliable with initiative.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Forklift operation and WHMIS/TDG training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders with required paperwork.
  • Receive shipments, verify product accuracy, and authorize receipt.
  • Distribute products to correct warehouse or yard area promptly.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety procedures in the yard.
  • Load items into the truck adhering to schedules and safety rules.
  • Work extended periods in heat and cold environments.

What You Will Do
  • Load and unload materials in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments.
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders, including preparing necessary shipment documentation.
  • Receive all incoming shipments, verify product accuracy, and authorize receipt.
  • Distribute products to the correct warehouse or yard area promptly.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety procedures within the yard.
  • Load items and orders into the truck while adhering to delivery schedules, safety standards, and destination-specific regulations.
  • Extended periods working in heat and cold environments.
What You Will Bring
