Job summary

Gray Brook Farms Ltd. in Listowel, Ontario is seeking a full-time yard maintenance worker to oversee all functions of our vehicles and equipment.

You will wash equipment, move trailers, deliver to repair shops, and assist with loading and unloading as part of daily production tasks. Responsibilities include reporting maintenance issues such as reefer, damage, or upcoming servicing, keeping the yard organized, and communicating with the distribution team throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all functions of the vehicle, including condition, equipment and materials, and reporting maintenance issues.
• Daytime position – washing equipment, shunting trailers, delivering to repair shops and occasional loads to customers.
• Moving trailers in and out of docks for production and transporting equipment to/from the shop.
• Keeping the yard manager and distribution team updated on daily activities.

Job description

• Overseeing all functions of the vehicle, such as condition of the vehicle, equipment and materials, loading and unloading. Maintaining the general upkeep and care of the vehicle and reporting any maintenance and/or operating problems.
• Full time- Up to 44 hours a week.
• Reporting any and all Maintenance issues - including Reefer, Damage, Services needed, Annuals coming due, etc.
• Daytimeposition – washing equipment, assisting the yard manager with shunting , delivering trailers and trucks to repair shops in the area, delivering the odd load to customers
• Main duties are washing equipment, moving trailers in and out of docks for production, bringing equipment to and from the shop including Speedy glass, Welding shop, and fueling reefers
• Keeping the yard manager and the distribution team updated on what you are doing throughout the day
