Job summary

Anderson Last Mile is seeking a Delivery Associate Helper to join a two-person team delivering large packages in the Edmonton area. This non-driving role starts with early shifts and 10-hour days, offering up to 30 hours per week and six days of operation.

The position pays $20.15 CAD per hour with opportunities to progress to driver roles. Responsibilities include assisting a box truck driver, loading/unloading packages, and navigating routes around Edmonton.

Qualifications

• Assist a box truck driver who operates a commercial vehicle with a rated capacity of 4500 kg or more.
• Use a handheld device for routing information and customer delivery details.
• Navigate a variety of routes throughout the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
• Must be comfortable following instructions and working in varying weather conditions.
• Load and unload packages to be delivered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver on a two-person delivery team.
• Deliver large and oversized packages in the Edmonton area.
• Lift packages up to 32 kg (70 lbs) and assist with two-person lifts up to 136 kg (300 lbs).

This role is for a non-driving helper to work on a 2 person team delivering large and oversized packages in the Edmonton Area.

Schedules and Position details

• Daily shifts are 10 hours, start times from 7:00 to 10:00am
• Flexible schedule up to 30 hours per week
• Additional shifts are possible during peak periods
• We deliver 6 days a week;Friday and Saturday availability is required
• Hourly pay is $20.15 per hour
• Growth opportunity:many of our helpers progress to become drivers

Qualifications

• Assist a box truck driver who operates a commercial vehicle with a rated capacity of 4500 kg or more
• Use a hand held device for routing information, customer delivery information
• Navigate a variety of routes throughout the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas
• Must be comfortable following instructions and working in varying weather conditions
• Load and unload packages to be delivered
• Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift packages up to 32 kg (70 lbs)
  • Assist in two-person lifts of up to 136 kg (300 lbs)
  • Able to get in and out of van and walk up and down stairs through your shift
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation to and from location of work (Class 5 preferred)
