The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under supervision, and supports in other facility areas including registration and referral management. The role involves performing X-ray exams, ensuring patient safety, and delivering quality care in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities

X-ray Technician Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, assist with positioning, explain procedures, and ensure safety and comfort during X-ray exams.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting controls for proper exposure.
• Use radiation safety measures and ensure equipment functionality, reporting malfunctions.
• Follow radiology workflows, document appropriately, and maintain equipment calibration and QA/QC procedures.

Medical Support Specialist Duties

• Perform drug and alcohol testing, prepare patients for examinations, and assist with ancillary testing.
• Assist providers during examinations, perform routine procedures, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
• Dispense medications and DME per regulations, maintain documentation, and ensure a clean and organized facility.
• Support patient flow, communicate wait times, and handle clerical tasks including front desk duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• State-approved Limited Scope Technician certification and license, if applicable
• CPR/First Aid certification

Experience:

• At least six months in medical assisting with knowledge of procedures and terminology
• Experience in X-ray and routine medical procedures
• Preferred: familiarity with occupational medicine requirements
